One business, several AI agents

Give every widget its own personality and purpose — customer support on one page, sales on another — while they all draw from the same knowledge of your business.

Why more than one widget?

A single do-everything chatbot is fine to start. But visitors asking “where is my order?” and visitors ready to “book a consultation” want very different conversations. With LeadReply you can create a second widget in seconds and give each one a clear job:

  • A customer support agent that resolves shipping, billing and account questions patiently.
  • A sales agent that explains your offer, handles objections and nudges people toward booking.
  • Or anything else: a hiring assistant, an FAQ guide for one product line, a bilingual greeter for your Spanish pages.

Note

Widgets are included per plan — see Plans & billing for how many your plan allows.

Give a widget its purpose

  1. Go to Dashboard Widget Settings and select the widget (or create a new one).
  2. Find “What should this widget do?”. One or two sentences is plenty: “Customer support agent for order and shipping questions. Be calm, precise, and never promise refunds.”
  3. Optionally add extra AI instructions for finer control: “Always mention our free consultation. Prioritize booking a call over email capture.”
  4. Save. The change applies to new messages within seconds.

This purpose acts like a job description injected into every conversation that widget handles. Two widgets on the same site can behave like two different employees — same company, different roles.

Shared knowledge, scoped answers

Every widget reads from the same brain: your FAQs, your Knowledge Base, and your business profile from onboarding. You write it once; all your agents benefit.

Sometimes though, an answer only makes sense for one audience. That's why FAQs and Knowledge Base entries let you choose which widgets see them:

  • All widgets (the default) — opening hours, directions, refund policy.
  • Specific widgets only — detailed shipping tables only for the support agent; pricing objections only for the sales agent.

When editing a FAQ (or a Knowledge Base entry), use the widget picker to decide who sees it. Leave it empty-checked / “all widgets” and everyone gets it.

Tip

Recommended split: keep universal facts shared, and scope anything salesy away from your support agent. Support chats that suddenly pitch feel wrong; sales chats that know the product deeply convert.

Each agent keeps its own identity

Beyond purpose, every widget still has its own look and behavior — greeting message, colors, position, display pages, triggers. Your sales widget might sit on the pricing page bottom-right in brand coral with an eager greeting, while the support widget lives in the help center corner with a calmer tone. See Customization for the full list of knobs, and Triggers to make either agent open the conversation proactively.
